How do we rate Animes?
We rate anime by six, plus one category. 1) how good the plot is, 2) how good/unique are the characters are and the character development through out the show, 3) how intense was the story, 4) the sound effects, 5) the art and the animation and 6) how much we actually enjoyed watching it. The bonus category is a comedy, we only rate in this category if the genre of the anime is considered to be a comedy.
Plot: We rate the base of the story and how the story progresses. For example in this category if “x” killed “y” we don’t care why or how “x” killed “y”, it only matters that “x” did it.
Characters: We rate how likeable the main characters are, how good was the character development, how interesting was the characters (including the antagonist).
Intensity level: We rate how intense was the show. We could break this category down into two parts. In one we rate how intense was each episode and second is how much desire, we felt to watch the next episode after the end of an episode.
Sound: We rate the sound effects, the qulity of the dub and the background music. Nothing more to describe here.
Art: We rate the art style, the quality of the art and the quality of the animation. To keep things more fair, older animes have lower standards than newer ones.
Enjoyment: In this category we rate how much we enjoyed the anime as a whole.
Comedy: We rate the quality of the jokes. How funny they were and how creative they were. For example, if there is a good joke, but they used it like 10 times in a 12 episode series than that is a bad point.
