After death, there is no heaven or hell, only a bar that stands between reincarnation and oblivion. There the attendant will, one after another, challenge pairs of the recently deceased to a random game in which their fate of either ascending into reincarnation or falling into the void will be wagered. Whether it’s bowling, darts, air hockey, or anything in between, each person’s true nature will be revealed in a ghastly parade of death and memories, dancing to the whims of the bar’s master. Welcome to Quindecim, where Decim, arbiter of the afterlife, awaits!

So, I suppose you‘ve read the synopsis… Aren‘t you intrigued already, just by reading it? If you are then going ahead and watch it right now, there‘s no point in waiting. The only problem I’ve had with this anime is that I can‘t really relate to the main characters at all. On the contrary the plot is really amusing. Moreover, they executed correctly the part when it comes to what actually happens after death, which no one really knows, so it is pretty easy to mess up and ruin a good idea. I watched it in a single afternoon all the 12 episodes and even though it is not the best psychological anime it is certainly not one you should miss. Also for Death Note fans, I must say that ‚Light Yagami‘ might or might not be seen in this anime, so who knows, you might want to check this out just for this alone.
