The base story is about a student boy who found a black notebook, but this notebook isn’t ordinary by any chance. Whoever’s name is written in the notebook shell die. Light, the boy who found this notebook is a mastermind, his moves are well thought and brilliant even in the most sticky situations, but if this is still not enough, he is also a master of manipulation. On the other side of the coin there is “L” who is pretty much as smart as Light. The show’s main plot is the race between these two geniuses.
This anime is a masterpiece. I watched it like 5 times and I am still intrigued by every single episode. I can recommend this show to anyone, literally ANYONE. Even people who aren’t into anime admit that this show is amazing. If you read Death Note the manga, this anime adaptation still worth your time. In my opinion the Death Note’s story is just better to watch on a screen, the sound effects make it much more epic, than the manga.
